Proctored Testing Information:

General Information:

Our local Mensa group has a resident proctor who administers an official admissions test every month to those who want to try and join the organization. Testing sessions are open to anyone 14 years of age or older. Candidates under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian accompany them and sign the individual to be tested into the testing session.

Testing fee is $40.00. This may be settled by check, money order, Visa/MasterCard credit card, or cash. Cash is discouraged since the entire payment is mailed to the national office, and the post office does not recommend mailing cash.

Each applicant must bring with them two things in order to be seated for testing.

1) A photo ID such as a driver's license or state ID card

2) The payment for the testing fee.

Location and Schedule:

The testing is done in the small meeting room of the Public Library in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Broken Arrow is contiguous to Tulsa, OK (generally to the south and east of Tulsa). The address is 300 West Broadway, Broken Arrow, OK. Although not required, it is better to make your intentions known in advance of the testing date to assure that there will be space available when you arrive on testing day. Unless otherwise noted, the testing sessions begin at 10:00 Hrs, and last about two and one-half hours. The sessions conclude at approximately 12:30 Hrs.

If you have special scheduling needs that make the second Saturday impossible, or if you need to arrange an earlier testing session, then please make direct contact with our proctor. Other test dates and times and be arranged with sufficient advance notice.

Eastern Oklahoma Mensa normally administers the Mensa Admission Test group at our regularly scheduled sessions (see above).

The Culture Fair Test group is available for those for whom English is a second language but cannot be administered at the same time as the Mensa Admission Test group due to timing differences. Please contact our proctor for testing with the Culture Fair Test group.

When necessary, alternative testing can generally be arranged for the 1st or 3rd Saturday of a month at 09:30 Hrs. The alternate test site (when used) is the Hardesty Regional Library located at 8916 East 93rd Street South, Tulsa, OK. We meet in the cafe area inside the library and move to one of the study rooms on the second floor.

Mensa Test Day:

Mensa Testing Day is a nationally advertised day (October 18th, 2008) on which most Mensa groups conduct a test session in coordination with American Mensa, Ltd. and with each other. While the actual date may vary among the local groups most will conduct at least one test session during the month. Eastern Oklahoma Mensa has designated our October 11th, 2008 test session as our Mensa Testing Day for 2008. Please contact our proctor if you would like to test on October 11th, 2008 or if you would like to arrange another test date and time.
