Where: Borders Bookstore (2740 East 21st Street, Tulsa)

Notes: If you have friend who might be interested in becoming a member of the group, try to bring them along as a guest. This is a generally a smaller and more informal gathering then a regular monthly meeting. It could be the best way to get somebody interested enough in the group to want to take additional steps towards becoming a local member.

 

What: CANCELLED - General Monthly Meeting - Executive Committee Meeting
When: Saturday, 13 January, 2007, 19:00 Hrs. till 21:00 Hrs
Where: Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler Meeting Room (5001 S Harvard Avenue, Tulsa)
Why: This will be a meet and greet event with no speaker.  The Executive Committee will be meeting to discuss current business.  All members are welcome to attend any Ex-Comm meeting and make themselves heard if they wish.  Now is a good time to think about who should be on the three member nominating committee that will be responsible for choosing candidates for the upcoming Ex-Comm elections later this year.

Why: This is an opportunity to try some good food, both sushi, and otherwise.  They have some vegetable entrees for the vegetarians among us.

Why: Conduct the group business.  The primary item on the agenda is to appoint a three member nominating/election committee to handle the details of the upcoming 2007 local election.

Directions: This restaurant is in a south facing strip center on the north side of 32nd Place.  The location is very slightly to the east of Harvard Avenue.  There's plenty of parking right out in front of the restaurant.

Ave (aka Olive and Aspen Avenues).  Turn left and proceed north on N. Joshua Ave. Go generally straight through three intersections and when you get to the Y in the road, bear to the right.  Proceed about one block and go just past the intersection with another cul-de-sac and look for the house on your left.
