What: Monthly Meeting
When: Saturday, 10 February 2001, 11:00 Hrs. 'til return. The OmniPlex museum is open 09:00 - 18:00 Hrs. The OmniDome theatre has shows starting from 11:00 to 20:30 Hrs. The Planetarium has shows starting from 12:00 to 20:00 Hrs.
Where: OmniPlex (Kirkpatrick Science and Air Space Museum) in Oklahoma City

Directions: Travelers from Tulsa will most likely be coming southbound on Interstate 35. Take the exit onto NE 50th. Proceed west on NE 50th to destination. The OmniPlex is next to the Oklahoma City Zoo and across the street from Remington Park. The address is 2100 NE 52nd Street.

Snacks: There is probably at least a snack area and possibly a restaurant
Animals: Not here
Other Notes: Carl and Nikki Hartline have a van that can carry seven people. Those who would like to ride in the van should get in touch with Nikki or Carl, ASAP, and see if there is still space available. The Hartline van will be departing from the parking lot of the Borders book store at 2740 East 21st street (Tulsa) at 11:00 Hrs. Others may choose to go individually or arrange other car pools. The contacts page will give you some info you can use to reach Nikki Hartline.

Where Exactly: The India Palace Restaurant, 6961 S Lewis Avenue (918-523-4247)
Where Near: The east side of Lewis, a few blocks north of the intersection with 71st Street
Why: EAT, and have good conversation

Snacks: Save your appetite for this place, it's reported to be very good

Other Notes: This restaurant has vegetarian fare as well as lamb, chicken and other carne.
What Happened: Nine attended the dinner.  Everybody liked the food a lot.

 

What: February Movie Night
When: Saturday, 24 February 2001, 18:30 Hrs. 'til whenever.
Where: Jim Haddock's home ( 1239 South Atlanta Place, Tulsa)
Why: Conversation and good movies

Directions: From S. Lewis Avenue, turn east onto 12th Street. Proceed to the third intersection (Atlanta Place) and turn right.  You are now going south on Atlanta Place.  Proceed to the address, the house will be on the east (driver's) side.

From East 15th Street, turn north onto Columbia Ave.  Proceed to the fourth  intersection (13th Street) and turn left.  Proceed west on 13th street to the third intersection (Atlanta Place) and turn right.  You are now going north on Atlanta Place.  Proceed to the address, the house will be on the east (passenger's) side.
